I learned about BINC during covid and was touched with their focus on helping bookstores and bookstore owners. They are currently matching donations to help those affected by the LA fires.

Donations to this fund will have an immediate and direct impact on people who have lost everything in the LA fires and towards nonprofits on the ground serving the survivors.

Tom Rogers, owner of Book Alley in Pasadena, lost his Altadena home. I lived up the street from Book Alley and went there all the time for books, records, and antique paper prints. Since moving to Nebraska, I still visit every year when I go back. Tom is usually there, always helpful and alway kind.
